李芳红，教授，博士生导师，国家特聘专家，广东省珠江人才计划创新创业团队第一核心成员，现为广东工业大学百人计划特聘教授。1990年毕业于中国医科大学预防医学系。1995年取得硕士学位并留校中山大学卫生学院任教。1998年，选派到新加坡国立大学接受WHO项目培训。2000到2006年间，在美国波士顿和匹兹堡大学医学院从事研究助理工作。2006年获得美国医学博士证书，同年进入美国Saint Barnabas 医学中心的病理系，完成了四年的严格的组织病理和临床病理的住院医生训练。2010－2011年，在美国约翰霍普金斯大学(Johns Hopkins)医学院病理系从事妇科病理专科工作。李教授多年来从事病理，毒理，骨代谢，肥胖、糖尿病和癌症的分子机制和药物开发研究以及病理诊断的标准化研究。以第一作者的身份，在一系列高影响因子的专业杂志上相继发表了多篇文章，如Nature Medicine, American Journal of Surgical Pathology, American Journal of Physiology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research，International Journal of Surgical Pathology 等。
