杜志云，四川省南部县人，三级教授，博士生导师，广东工业大学制药工程，广东省“千百十”省级人才。2006年7月中山大学生物化学专业博士毕业，2006年7月到广东工业大学轻工化工学院制药工程专业从事教学与科研工作，已毕业研究生45名，合带博士研究生12名，正在指导硕士研究生13名，博士3名；承担硕士生“中药现代化”等课程。已申请专利47项，授权32项，发表论文170多篇，其中SCI收录论文119余篇。先后到法国巴黎狄德罗大学ITODYS实验室，新加坡国立大学化学系，美国罗格斯（Rutegers）大学药学院从事过访问研究。主持国家自然科学基金2项、广东省部产学研项目13项、市厅项目4项和和企业横向项目11项。主要研究药食同源类天然产物物质基础（小分子、多糖、多肽）及其生物活性（炎症与免疫相关老年性疾病靶点），以此应用到新药创制、医学转化应用、功能食品及功能化妆品中。
