In 2016, the mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy that was developed by Dr Yuan successfully entered the phase 2a clinical trial for treatment of lung cancer patients. So far he has had more than 30 research papers published in international or national top journals like JEV, Cancers and the Journal of Virology. Additionally he has had 2 invention patents approved and three patent applications submitted. One of his patents was transferred to the Novartis in Switzerland for 125,000 Swiss francs in 2000.
Enthusiastic and self-inspiring postdoctoral researchers, postgraduate students and undergraduates are working together like a harmonious family in Dr Yuan’s group.
